Even though the utmost effort has been devoted
to making this software package as complete and
flawless as possible, unexpected problems may always occur.
In order
to ease the handling of problems you may
encounter, you are kindly requested to use a Software
Problem Report SPR form (ESA PSS-05-0 Issue 2 - February
1991) designed according to ESA Software Engineering
standards
and
in particular
the OM Phase (Operations and Maintenance phase).
0. SPR HEADER INFO
This header must show the information
in order to identify the SPR, the user, the date and the
involved software :
the version of ESACRACK: located at the ESACRACK
main program popup,
the SPR number : the SPR identifier is allocated by the
ESACRACK team and cannot be filled by the form,
the originator : name and company of the user who discovered
the problem,
the date : date when the problem has been encountered.
1. SOFTWARE ITEM TITLE
As explained by the What
is ESACRACK? main
page, the ESACRACK software is composed of separated modules.
These modules are called SOFTWARE ITEMS and must be identified.
Please, select the involved module into the list, by clicking
on the corresponding button

). By default, the selected software item is ESACRACK main
program.
2. SOFTWARE ITEM VERSION
Each software item is identified by a version,
a release number, displayed on the main popup window when
the module is starting. Please, note this version and fill
the
corresponding
area
into the form.
3. PRIORITY
Please, indicate the software problem priority:
critical : the involved feature can not be performed. Any workaround
can be done, and the situation is blocked. The software
item has to be fixed in order to perform the feature/calculation,
urgent : the involved feature can be performed using a work around,
routine : the involved feature can be performed by the software item,
but the problem causes inconvenient troubles.
4. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION
Please, provide a problem description as clearer as possible,
allowing the ESACRACK team to reproduce the problem in site.
If possible, join all involved files when sending the form.
5. DESCRIPTION OF ENVIRONMENT
Indicate the environment (operating system) where the
problem has been encountered. Select in the list, the involved
system by clicking on the corresponding button

).
6. RECOMMENDED SOLUTION
If possible, the user can propose a solution to fix the
problem or to improve the software. The ESACRACK team will
investigate the feasibility of a such recommended solution.
When the SPR will be available into the SPR list (after
the software review board), the selected recommended solution
area will be updated
accordingly.
7. SOFTWARE REVIEW BOARD DECISION
This area can not be filled by the user by this form. The
decision will be quoted by the ESACRACK team during the software
review board.
